On July 8, the 2025 "Star Selection Program" Hebei Youth Archery City Championship (Northern Division) successfully concluded at the Bingtangyu Great Wall Grand Canyon in Qinhuangdao. The event attracted over 100 athletes from 15 teams representing sports schools, general schools, and archery clubs across the province.

Organized by the Hebei Provincial Sports Bureau’s Shooting and Archery Center and other related units, the championship featured multiple categories in both recurve and compound bow disciplines. Events included individual, team, and mixed team competitions. Archers showcased their skills at the foot of the Great Wall, with the scenic canyon landscape and historical backdrop enhancing both the competitive and visual appeal of the event.

After intense competition, the Chiling Archery Team of Qinhuangdao dominated the medal tally with 7 golds, 2 silvers, and 1 bronze, claiming first place. Tangshan Archery Team followed closely, securing 6 golds, 5 silvers, and 6 bronzes to take second place. WanShi Archery Training School and Baoding Xishang Archery Club tied for third.

This event also deeply integrated culture, tourism, and education by exploring a "sports + tourism + study" model. During the championship, athletes and their families visited ancient Great Wall ruins, experiencing firsthand the natural beauty and cultural heritage of Bingtangyu. The event successfully achieved a "competition-driven tourism" effect that benefits both sports and local tourism.

It is reported that the Southern Division of the 2025 "Star Selection Program" Hebei Youth Archery City Championship will be held from July 13 to 17 at the Shexian Stadium in Handan.
