
In recent years, Chen has repeatedly delivered outstanding results in sprint events: at the 2025 National Indoor Athletics Grand Prix (third leg), she set a new national U18 women’s 60m best with 7.26 seconds; at the 2024 National Athletics Championships, she ran 11.29 seconds to set both the national and Asian U18 women’s 100m bests; at the 26th Asian Athletics Championships, she won the women’s 200m gold in 22.97 seconds, also breaking the U18 best for the event; and at the recently concluded National Athletics Championships, she claimed the 200m title again with 23.21 seconds.

At this meet, Chen maintained stable performances in the women’s 100m. She advanced from the heats with 11.86 seconds, topped the semifinals with 11.62 seconds, and in the final, starting in lane four, quickly seized the lead from the blocks. Extending her advantage in the second half, she crossed the line in 11.29 seconds, matching her own national U18 best. After the race, Chen said: “After the National Championships, I’ve mainly been in recovery mode. My form today wasn’t at its best, and I still need to work on my technique. I’ll strive for even better results at the National Games.”
Guangdong’s Chen Xinxuan and Jiangsu’s Yan Xinyi took silver and bronze with personal bests of 11.55 seconds and 11.68 seconds, respectively.
In other finals, Fang Juncheng from Sichuan won the men’s 100m title in 10.40 seconds, a personal best, followed by Ye Taotao from Guangdong (10.44) and Dai Hongyu from Shanghai (10.47). In the women’s pole vault, Miao Keni from Jiangsu equaled the national U18 best of 4.30m she already holds, claiming the gold medal.
