The 2025 China-Shanghai Cooperation Organization Ice and Snow Sports Demonstration Zone International Curling Invitational officially opened on June 28 at the Hongsong Gymnasium in Yichun, Heilongjiang Province.

The six-day competition features men's and women's events, attracting 16 teams and over 80 athletes from both China and abroad.

Since the establishment of the SCO Ice and Snow Sports Demonstration Zone, Yichun's auxiliary area has leveraged its unique ice and snow resources and strong foundation in winter sports development to host numerous high-level domestic and international curling competitions. It is committed to becoming an international destination for forest-based winter sports and to contributing to the development of the SCO Ice and Snow Sports Demonstration Zone.

This tournament not only serves as a platform for high-level international competition, but also plays an important role in strengthening friendship among SCO member states and promoting people-to-people connectivity. It is of great significance in enhancing the international influence of the "Forest Capital Yichun · Hometown of Curling" brand.

The event is guided by the Chinese Curling Association and hosted by the Yichun Municipal People's Government. It is organized by the Yichun Sports Bureau and the Foreign Affairs Office of the Yichun Municipal Government, with support from the China Media Group Sports and Youth Program Center, Beijing Shanshui Fuyuan Sports & Culture Development Co., Ltd., and Yichun Curling Academy.
