This year, China sent a team of 27 athletes to compete. Among them was Wang Yuting, a Qingdao native nurtured and trained by the Qingdao Municipal Center for Basketball and Rugby Sports Management. After advancing through a series of rigorous selections organized by the national training team, she made her international debut representing China.

In the U19 Women’s Speed event, Wang Yuting demonstrated tenacity and courage, fearlessly competing against strong opponents. She stood out in a fiercely contested field and ultimately secured the silver medal, contributing to China's overall medal tally. In recognition of her outstanding performance, Wang was also awarded the title of “National Elite Athlete.”

The IFSC Youth World Championships serve as a vital platform for young climbers worldwide and a stepping stone to higher achievements. Wang Yuting’s presence on the international podium has greatly inspired climbers across Qingdao. We will seize this opportunity to further elevate our competitive climbing standards, cultivate more high-level athletes, and continue bringing glory to Qingdao’s sports community.
