On June 7, the third sabre leg of the 2025 National Fencing Championships officially commenced in Handan. The event is co-hosted by the Chinese Fencing Association, the Hebei Provincial Sports Bureau, and the Handan Municipal People's Government, and jointly organized by the Cycling Sports Center of Hebei Provincial Sports Bureau and the Handan Municipal Sports Bureau.

This leg features four main events: individual and team competitions for both men's and women's sabre in the youth and senior categories. A total of 286 sabre athletes from 27 provincial-level regions across the country are participating in the three-day competition.
As one of the largest, most competitive, and most influential fencing events in China, the National Fencing Championships showcases a high level of professionalism and athletic skill. On the piste, athletes engage in intense offensive and defensive duels with their sabres, delivering a visual feast of speed and technique for spectators.
This event represents the highest level of sabre fencing in China and serves as a key opportunity for top sabre athletes from various provinces and cities to engage in high-level competition ahead of the 15th Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao National Games. It provides a valuable platform for fencers to showcase their strength, helps cultivate more fencing talent, and promotes the development and popularity of the sport in Hebei Province and across the nation.
