Beijing, May 5 — On May 4 local time, the final of the 2024–2025 CEV Women’s Champions League took place in Istanbul, Türkiye, featuring an “Italian derby.” Chinese player Zhu Ting’s team, Imoco Conegliano, defeated Scandicci in straight sets to successfully defend their title. Zhu Ting claimed her third Champions League trophy.

In this match, Conegliano secured a 3–0 victory with set scores of 25–16, 25–21, and 25–19. Zhu Ting contributed 14 points. Previously, Zhu had helped Türkiye’s VakifBank Istanbul win the Champions League in the 2016–2017 and 2017–2018 seasons.
This season, Conegliano delivered a dominant performance, capturing five titles — the Italian Super Cup, FIVB Club World Championship, Italian Cup, Italian League (Serie A1), and the CEV Champions League — achieving a full-season Grand Slam. Zhu Ting had previously accomplished the same feat during the 2017–2018 season while playing for VakifBank.
Commenting on Conegliano’s outstanding performance, Zhu Ting said in an interview that the team maintained a rigorous approach from management to coaching, paying close attention to details during training. “When the process is done well, the results will naturally follow,” she noted.
This season’s Champions League Final Four featured three Italian clubs and Türkiye’s VakifBank, which includes Chinese player Yuan Xinyue. In the third-place match, VakifBank lost 1–3 to Milan and finished fourth. Speaking on the presence of two Chinese players in the Final Four, Zhu Ting remarked that the Chinese women’s volleyball team has always been a world-class squad and expressed hope to see more Chinese athletes competing in high-level international events.
